Overview:
In the thin film evaporator, the material is evenly distributed into a thin film by the scraper or rotor on the inner wall of the evaporator. Due to the high heat transfer efficiency of the liquid film, the light component evaporates in a very short time, and the vaporized light component evaporates. Each component is condensed and liquefied in an external condenser, thereby realizing the separation of the two components. Rotated film evaporators are mainly used for the separation of heat-sensitive and high-boiling products.
Thin-film evaporators are heated by heat-conducting oil medium. Since the material of the equipment is high borosilicate glass, the characteristics of the product and liquid film, as well as the situation after vaporization and condensation can be clearly observed during the distillation process. This visibility is very important for the experiment. Process and data collection are very important.
Applications:
In heat exchange engineering, scraped thin film evaporators are widely used.
Especially for the heat exchange of heat-sensitive materials (for a short time), the wiper is beneficial to the heat exchange, and through the different design of the wiper, the distillation of complex products can be carried out.
Wiped film evaporators have been used in the following fields for evaporative concentration, desolvation, stripping, reaction, degassing, deodorization (odor), etc., and have achieved good results.
The wiped-film evaporation unit is a laboratory-scale pilot unit, mainly used for new product development or process data collection, and ultimately provides services for industrial scale-up. The main equipment is composed of raw material tank, wiped film evaporator, external condenser, cold trap, vacuum system, control system and other main components. All equipment materials are made of high borosilicate glass, and the heating method of wiped film evaporator mainly adopts heat conduction. The oil is heated, the external condenser is equipped with an ice machine to provide the cold source, and the cold trap is cooled by dry ice/liquid nitrogen.
