Tank reactors are generally composed of shells, jackets, agitators, inlet and outlet nozzles, sealing devices, reducers, and motors. They are widely used in small tests and industrial production. Chemical reactors are generally classified according to operating conditions. For normal pressure and pressurized conditions, the general small test uses glass reactors for normal pressure conditions, and stainless steel is used for pressurization, and the structure is designed with upper and lower heads. In a narrow sense, it refers to the mixing of materials caused by the movement opposite to the main flow direction in the continuous process. For mass transfer processes, such concentration changes reduce the concentration driving force, thereby reducing the transfer rate. In the case of high conversion rate or series side reactions, the back-mixing phenomenon of the tank reactor is an unfavorable factor. At this time, multi-pot series reactors can be used to reduce the adverse effects of back-mixing, and the reaction can be controlled by separate tanks. condition.
The structure of the continuous operation tank reactor is the same as that of the batch operation tank reactor. The operation of feeding and discharging materials is continuous. While continuously and constantly adding reactants to the reactor, the reaction products are continuously drawn out of the reactor. Such flow conditions are very close to ideal mixed flow model or fully mixed flow model.
